Kiss in the Snow

"Snow crunched under them as they walked into a small clearing in the woods, where the sky was visible, not obstructed by bare tree limbs. The pale blue sky stretched above them.
Both dressed in hoodies, zipped up and with the hoods on, the cold was mitigated, to a degree, with it mostly just stinging their faces.
He spoke first, shattering the silence, though the freshly fallen snow muted the sound so that only from 10 feet away it would sound like a whisper, with his breath coming out opaque in the cold. 'This is a beautiful forest.'
She laughed a little, and said, 'Told you so.'
'Suuuurreee you did,' He said, in that teasing, playful tone that seemed to be his default tone when talking to her.
She shoved him playfully with a giggle. 'Shut up, you jerk.'
Taking the shove as a challenge, a devious grin crossed his face as he shoved her playfully back. When she went to shove him again, he grabbed her hand with his own and pulled, causing her to slide a little towards him.
She instinctively brought her other hand out to grab onto something for support, which he immediately grasped with his other hand. Now facing each other, and now both with a grin, they began an improptu strength contest, each pushing against the other in an attempt to make the other budge.
It soon became apparent that she was winning, having lived most of her life on a farm, while he was raised in a city. Still, he had determination, if nothing else, and dug his heels in, determined to make it as difficult for her as possible. As they pushed against each other, their faces kept getting closer, until soon their foreheads were touching. As they touched, he knew he couldn't keep this up much longer, until he got a devious idea and the grin on his face widened. She noticed this, and was just about to say something about it when he suddenly brought his lips to hers without letting go of her hands.
Surprised, but not completely unwilling, she soon forgot about the contest of strength moments before he did, and then the kiss was all that mattered.
No longer pressed together like bulls locking horns, their arms wrapped around each other as they stood straight, him leaning down a little to keep his lips on hers. The kiss grew in fierceness, and soon her tongue was on his lips, and he was opening his lips and they were then wrestling in a different, but not wholly unsimilar, way.
Their tongues curled around each other in a passionate dance, with each stroke just exciting the other more. Their hoods, already barely on due to the wrestling contest, fell off completely now, letting the cold envelop their heads, only to be pushed back from the heat coming from their blushing cheeks and the occasional heated exhale from the kiss.
They were, of course, unaware of anything but the kiss and each other now, forgetting the trees, sky, and the new snow that started to fall from the sky onto them. As the minutes passed, their mouths not being apart for more than a second at a time, they became increasingly aware of the fact that they needed to breath if they were going to kiss more past today.
Reluctantly, they both broke away, leaning their foreheads on each others, as they panted, out of breath, each little huff coming out in a cloud of opaque cold. Both of their faces flushed, the air that entered their lungs was cold, piercing, but not wholly unpleasant and provided a nice contrast to the heat both were feeling. Snow had started to gather on their heads, a little pile on each, which fell off the sides due to the shaking of both heads. As they regained their breath, they looked each other in the eyes, looking for any signs of regret, and, finding none, smiled at each other.
He spoke first, shattering the silence that had once again settled on the clearing. 'We should get back, or they'll get suspicious.' Though he said it in his usual teasing tone, he knew he'd rather stay, but also knew that the others wouldn't trust them to be alone again this weekend if they stayed out much longer.
She knew this as well, and, with a pang of annoyance at the situation they had to accept for the moment, said, 'Yeah, we should.'
As they started to walk back, he pointed up at the trees, and said, 'Hey, look! Mistletoe!'
She looked up to search for it, though didn't see it, and was just considering asking him where it was when she felt a wave of cold go down her bare back, and with a screech, looked back at him.
He was laughing, after having used the distraction to push some snow down her shirt.
With a barely hidden grin, she started to chase him, while he giggled maniacally, leading her on a chase through the forest. She started to gain on him, with him being slower and not having her endurance, but he made her fight for every inch she got closer.
Soon, though, he was out of breath, and leaned his back on a tree, too exhausted to continue. As she got near him she grabbed him by the jacket, in a threatening but playful manner. Through pained gasps, she managed to say, 'Got you!'
He spoke in the same, mocking tone, though his was also done through heavy gasps. 'I let you.'
She rolled her eyes, feeling that he was just teasing her again. 'Suuuuuureee you did.'
His face brightened a bit, and his tone adopted a, 'Just so you know' tone. 'I did! Now we have an excuse!'
She narrowed her eyes in confusion. 'An excuse for what?'
His face took on that devious grin again. 'Well, I dumped ice down your back, you chased me, and now we're lost!'
This just confused her more. 'Why would that be a good thing?'
In response to her question, he just pointed up.
She looked up, and saw immediately what he was pointing at.
His voice had a happy tone in it this time.
'Look, mistletoe!'
She started to laugh, but he cut her off with a kiss.
Made this as part of an agreement with :iconriewiggles: . We would both write about how a kiss between us would go. Here's my interpretation. Note that while it's not sexual or anything, it does venture into PG-13 territory. Took me about an hour to write.
