She tried to hide behind him as they entered the restaurant. He smirked at her, as he said, "You seem a bit nervous."
"Shut up," she half groaned, trying to keep from peoples eyes.
He looked confidant on the outside, but in reality he was as nervous as she was. This was their first date. They'd kissed in the snow two days before, and while they had kept her mother from finding out, they had not quite been able to keep her sister and grandmother from finding out. While those two were rather supportive, in between the teasings, they all knew she wouldn't be, and they had all taken great pains to keep her from finding out. She had left earlier t

The cool air was a bit nippy as he reached out to put the mail in the mailbox. He was aware that the family in the house had gone off to some relative's house, where it was probably snowing. But he still needed to deliver the mail.
As the mail slipped into the mailbox, a sudden gust came, and blew an envelope out of his hand into their yard. He sighed, knowing that he'd have to get it. He got out of the car, and started jogging after the letter. He caught it quickly, and started to walk back.
The only warning he had was a growl.
Then there was a pain in his right ankle, and he suddenly fell down to one kne
Kiss in the Snow
"Snow crunched under them as they walked into a small clearing in the woods, where the sky was visible, not obstructed by bare tree limbs. The pale blue sky stretched above them.
Both dressed in hoodies, zipped up and with the hoods on, the cold was mitigated, to a degree, with it mostly just stinging their faces.
He spoke first, shattering the silence, though the freshly fallen snow muted the sound so that only from 10 feet away it would sound like a whisper, with his breath coming out opaque in the cold. 'This is a beautiful forest.'
She laughed a little, and said, 'Told you so.'

The Maiden of Sleep is alluring. She beckons, and calls your name. She induces feelings not of lust, but instead longing. The longer you're seperated from her, the more you long for her. You go to her, and rest your head on her shoulder. She whispers words into your ear, beautiful tales, that make you smile and hate leaving the Maiden after she lets you go. But, when she has run out of tales, she walks away from you, leaving you sad. She walks away, not to torture, but to think of more for the next night. Sometimes, you must escape her and her beautiful tales, for the
Too Slow
You talk. You talk and laugh and speak, and I’m not quite sure I’ve ever seen you stop for breath. Maybe you breathe when you slow down to let me get a word in. I’m not sure. But you talk.
You talk about all kinds of things. Like what happened at the parking lot, or who was where and what they were wearing, or what you dreamed of last night, and even just about how pretty the sky is today. You talk about anything and everything, and you do it so fast. So very, very, fast.
But you never say the same thing twice. If you talk about what happened at the parking lot, that will be the last I hear of it. If you talk about

The Shadows that I Feared So Long
“My soul is full of whispered song,—
My blindness is my sight;
The shadows that I feared so long
Are full of life and light.”

The ground beneath my cheek is hard and cold. But it’s starting to warm up. The sky is black above, the moon already set. But the singing of birds promises dawn soon.
I look beside me, at where Darren’s body fell when I couldn’t move anymore. His wounds had long since reopened and run dry. His eyes are cold. His lips are blue. His army fatigues are covered in dried blood and hastily made bandages. His hair is knotted and ragged. His face is covered in

The light hit me in the face. I was caught.
Don't panic don't panic don't panic don't panic don't panic don't panic Okay, I'm panicking. I start to speak quietly, so that I don't attract any more guards. The less guards, the less bribes. "Okay, I know what this looks like. But I'm NOT sneaking in after going into town after curfew to get two tattoos. I'm, uh, sneaking OUT so that I can- uh, uh. . ." I try thinking of an excuse. Until the "guard" dims the light and shines it up at herself.
It's the girl from earlier. The one I ran into outside of the tatttoo artist. She's still silver haired, dark ski

"Argh!"
"Quiet. We're almost done."
Easy for him to say. He's never gotten a mark. I look at the man doing it. He's tough and brawny, no signs of sorcerer or weaver or witch or warlock or any of the others on him. He's just regular. A tattoo artist. Ignorant to what I am or who anyone else is.
I had to lie about my age a bit, but a few extra bucks got it done. 'Course, the academy has it's own tattoo artist where I could go to get this done for free. But he's still a bit new, and while he can do basic marks well enough, he still needs practice with ink and magic to do intermediate marks. I secretly had to giv
After we check out the pool, I carry Molly back to the room. I see two large boxes outside the room.
Molly sounds giddy. "They're here!"
"What's here?"
C'mon, let's get them inside."
A few minutes later, we've carried them inside, and I've gotten out a knife. I cut through the tape on one of the boxes, and look inside. "Our workout gear?
"Cool! Open the other one!"
I look into the other one, and see varied personal items that belong to both of us. "How'd you get this stuff here?"
"Delivery! C'mon, let's get this set up!"
First, we get the exercise equipment set up in the tv corner, the equipment being a treadmill (that I run on while

Quick Note: This was inspired by Zazu75. !Zazu75 (https://www.deviantart.com/zazu75) She wrote a story that made me think to write this. She has given me permission to post this as a continuation to her story "My Immortal." You NEED to read it first to understand what happens in this. Here's a link:

I was having a dream. In it, I was still in the paranormal investigation business. I still had my apartment. I wasn't in any debt. Well, I was in LESS debt. But, most importantly, HE was still there. Standing by my side, with his glowing eyes and green skin. We were fighting an evil, deadly monster, and it was winning.

The flames rise from the city, lashing at the air like a whip. It spreads from building to building quickly, consuming the entirety of this once great place. Hundreds of people are running from the city, some on fire, some mearly burned, and some lucky enough to only have mild injuries. A house on the outskirts collapses, and I can see a small hand sticking out of the door, on the ground and burning. As I look back to the city, I can see a car that was trying to escape explode on the road, killing not only the driver, but several people and children that were running along side it. More houses start to collapse, and then, a building in the fa
I was reading a manga when two characters used a technique called "Black and White Duet Number 9". That got me thinking about blood and a suitable contrast for it. Suddenly, I remembered my elementary school days. We had these fries that were in the shape of smiley faces. I always put ketchup and mustard on my fries, and I'd always pretend myself to be a monster and that the red was blood (very sadistic). I would try to think of what the yellow could be.
I miss those fries.
They were good.
I issue everyone a challenge.
End all or almost all of your sentences with the phrase "With lots of men".
I've been doing it for a few days at school, and it's really fun.
Here's an example:
"Hey, want to hang out - with lots of men?"
Post if you accept the challenge.
My computer has a virus. I just got rid of another virus a few days ago, and I got this one the day after. I need help in getting rid of it. I used a system restore last time (the virus was XP Anti-Virus 2011) and it got rid of it. But now, this virus blocks the system restore and most other things that are on my control program. It also blocks my internet. I'm using my mom's laptop. Now, I do need help with this, preferabbly without downloading a security program. I can't buy a security program, but I can download a free one. But I want it to be a last resort. I do have a flash drive for it. Please post methods or links to methods.
